Survivors

Since many Jewish survivors were scared to go back home, they migrated westward and found themselves housed in DP (Displaced Persons) camps such as Bergen-Belsen in Germany, Other Jewish survivors illegally immigrated to Palestine by ship. There was a certain coalition called the Jewish. Brigade Group that specifically helped with that. However, the British, numerous times, sent many ships back to Germany such as the Exodus 1947. Although that was a huge problem, the following year, the state of Israel was established. As many as 170,000 Jewish displaced persons & refugees migrated there with no problem by 1953. Two years after, President Truman loosened restrictions on immigration to the US specifically for those displaced by the Nazi regime, so many Jews migrated there as well. By this time, all discrimination towards this group was nonexistent, and there were no more violent antisemitic provisions.

An example of a DP camp.
