Goods were traded, grown in one area, traded with another area, everything available (goods in our culture?)
Cities were elaborate, full of grand buildings like temples, palaces, and of there grandest attractions, pyramids
Pacal-a Mayan ruler, had a temple built built in honor of him and his achievements
Mayans also created canals to control water flow in their cities, to provide water for their people and to water their crops
Mayans created one of the earliest forms of athletic arenas known then as a "special ball court" and the earliest forms of sports
