Interesting Facts

Some very famous people have been diagnosed (some post-mortem) with Marfan syndrome. Famous figures such as Mary Queen of Scots, Tutankhamen, and Osama Bin Laden have all been diagnosed with the syndrome (Jha, 2013). Dr. Antoine Marfan, the person who first discovered and diagnosed the syndrome, worked in pediatrics, and originally thought the disease was arachnodacryly, which comes from the greek word for spider.
