Mythical beast poem
This morning,
I was attacked by the toaster.
I know it sounds lame
But it came at me hissing and spitting.
It's long cord wrapped around my neck
While it worked to burn my flesh.
I pushed it away
But it came back more intense
At that moment,
I swear I saw it grin.
An evil, wicked smile.
I tore and thrashed.
Then suddenly it was still
And I opened my eyes to see the toaster above me
With that same wicked grin.
