People try to classify me all the time
But it's not just me they try to classify.
They try to classify the quiet girl that sits in the back of the class.
They try to classify the boy that sits at the front of the classroom who always has his hand raised to answer a question.
They even try to classify the dude that's the captain of the football team!
By "classify" I mean they associate you with a certain stereotype before they even get to know you.
Nerds, jocks, emos, unpopulars, and especially populars.
The worst thing about it is that you get treated a certain way by what stereotype you're associated with!
Now, when people tried to classify me they had quite a bit of trouble.
I was weird but not that weird
I had friends but not enough to be popular
I was pretty but not that pretty
I wore dark clothes but never classified as emo
They tried to pick out my flaws to see where I would fit
But they never classified me because
I'm not a stereotype
I'm a human
Unique with a stereotype of my own.
