Who was Jim Crow?

Jim Crow was a white man who dressed up as an African American man. He would paint his face black and perform acts that would make the African American look horrid and illiterate and stupid. It was a way for white men to make fun of the black man.

Jim Crow worked on a T.V. show and would perform dressed as the African American man. This show was offensive to the African Americans and people made laws out of it.
