The NAACP was the organization for colored people. They would help colored people overcome and they would attempt to try and break laws. Some of the Jim Crow Laws were abolished because they were uncivil. Many of the African American people were grateful for the NAACP because they stepped in when they needed help the most.

However, the NAACP also followed some laws. If the African American people would get too pumped up about fighting the law, the NAACP would stop fighting for them and they would have to go about the problems alone.

The NAACP helped the people, but it also did not let them get too out of hand. They knew where to draw the line about fighting the laws when the people did not.
