Jane's Early Life

Jane Goodall was born April 3, 1934 in London, United Kingdom. She is, today, eighty years old and still going strong. Her father was Mortimer Herbert Morris-Goodall. Her mother was Margaret Myfanwe Joseph. Goodall also has a younger sister Judith Goodall. Judith is exactly four years younger to the day. She was given a stuffed animal Chimpanzee as child. The Chimpanzee was named Jubilee by her father. Jubilee, who Goodall still has, is said to be the spark for her love and devotion for Chimpanzees and animals of all kinds.
