WHY GIZA?
-Khufu built his pyramid at Giza because there was no more space at Dahshur, where the previous Pharoah, Sneferu, had his pyramid built.
-Therefore, Khufu moved his court and residence further north, where his prospectors had found a cliff appropriate for a massive building.
-The Ancient Egyptians called the area imentet, which means "The West" or kher neter, which means "the necropolis."
Those small pyramids aren't really important...
