EXCAVATIONS.
-Many excavations have been done on the Great Pyramid of Giza, each yielding new and unique discoveries.
-The single longest excavation was forty-five years old, started in 1902 and ended in 1947. It was directed by George A. Reisner and was a joint operation between two universities: Harvard and the Museum of Fine Arts.
