Middle Kingdom 2134-1690 BC

During the Middle Kingdom Egypt entered another age where it flourished. Egyptian government was stable again and the governors didn't overpower the pharaoh. King Amenemhet I started the 12 dynasty with that he also started the Middle Kingdom.
Ironically the king of the Middle Kingdom was Amenemhet III. He allowed Asiatic settlers into delta region to provide a strong and stable work force. Instead the Asiatic settlers began to control the delta region and became the Hyksos.
