The pharaoh Ahmose I reunited Egypt once again. He was the first pharaoh of the 18th dynasty. He also started the New Kingdom. He made Egypt into a massive world empire. The fall of the New Kingdom happened when the high priest at the temple of Amun in Thebes decided that they wanted to have all the power for themselves.
