Balder the good, was the son of Frigga and Odin, the rulers of Asgard. Everyone in all the nine realms loved Balder. One night, he had a dream that he would die. Frigga went on a mission to ask every living thing in the nine realms to not bring any harm to Balder, but passed by one insignificant shrub, the mistletoe bush. The Norns, who weave the web of time, foretold that Balder's death would bring the apocalypse, Ragnarok.
