Hypothesis

A hypothesis is an educated guess about what may happen.

Lab safety

1. Read, understand, and follow the directions given.
2. Check with the teacher about any special directions before beginning.
3. Follow directions by using only the equipment instructed.
4. Use all required safety equipment. For example: safety goggles, safety apron, mitts, etc
5. Keep the correct equipment together.
6. Report any accidents, spills, or broken containers to the teacher.
7. Do not drink or eat anything unless you are instructed.
8. Keep water away from electrical equipment.
9. Put your hair up whenever you have a lab. Also keep clothing or hair away from fire.
10. Clean up your area after a lab. Wash your hands after handling chemicals.
