Caste System

From the Vedas, we learn that Aryans divided people into ranked groups by occupation. It was forbidden for somebody to do anything with anybody outside of your caste.

Kshatriyas
Second highest;
Warriors

Vaisyas
Third highest;
herders, farmers, artisans and merchants

Brahmin
Highest level;
Priests

Sudras
Fourth highest; farm workers and servants

Dalits
Lowest;
not considered a part of the caste
