Chapters Six-Ten

・Chapter Six: Two main characters are introduced: the love interest, Becky Thatcher, and Tom's friend Huckleberry Finn
・Chapter Seven: When Tom and Becky have to stay together in the classroom, they agree to get engaged.
・Chapter Eight: Tom decides he wants to be a pirate.
・Chapter Nine: While playing near the graveyard, Huckleberry Finn and Tom witness Injun Joe stabbing Dr. Robinson. Injun Joe tells Muff Potter that [Muff Potter] did it, and [Muff Potter] believes him.
・Chapter Ten: Tom is filled with misery because Huckleberry and he are terrified of Injun Joe, Aunt Polly is disappointed in Tom, and Becky Thatcher rejects one of his gifts to her.
