Chapters Eleven through Fifteen:

・Chapter Eleven: Dr. Robinson's body is discovered and Muff Potter is incriminated by Injun Joe. Weighed down by his conscience, Tom does not speak out, but does bring Potter small gifts in his jail cell.
・Chapter Twelve: Becky Thatcher falls ill, and Tom's new depression worsens. Aunt Polly tries to give him pain killers, but he feeds them to a cat and is sent to school anyway.
・Chapter Thirteen: Feeling mistreated, Tom collects Joe Harper and Huck Finn and they decide to go "pirating". They steal some food and take a raft to an island. They later feel bad about the stealing, proving that they had fairly strong moral standards.
・Chapter Fourteen: Still on the island, the three boys are beginning to feel homesick.
・Chapter Fifteen: Tom visits home and eavesdrops on the adults conversation. He realizes that everyone thinks they're dead.
