Chapters One through Five

・Chapter One: Introduced as a manipulative yet compassionate young boy.
・Chapter Two: Shows his intelligence by talking other boys into whitewashing a fence.
・Chapter Three: Tom was accused of breaking the sugar bowl, because he is typically blamed for such things
・Chapter Four: Tom barters with his fellow students to get enough tickets to win a Bible.
・Chapter Five: Not surprisingly, Tom plays around in Church as a result of boredom.
