Human impact

Well, we keep moving into wetlands like swamps and marshes. These areas absorb excess water. This would make flooding a big problem for whatever is set up there.

Also, our waste seeps in the water, and harms wildlife. Invasive species are a big problem to.Humans have impacted swamps by introducing non-native plants which have no natural control factor. The plants soon take over the swamp with massive negative impact.

A lot of wetland loss is attributable to agricultural activities, such as draining, diking and plowing of wetlands. Other human activities that lead to wetlands destruction include:

Development projects, such as subdivisions, shopping malls and business parks
Dikes and levees along rivers to divert flood waters.
The more the swamps clear out the more chances of the animals of the biome will decrease and go into extention which would hurt are chances of living because we need some of the nutrients from those types of animals such as fish to live.
