In Howard Zinn's chapter, Kind of a Revolution, Zinn explores the founding of America and what he believes of the true intent behind the Constitution. A major theme of this reading is the clash between the less fortunate of the Colonies and the fortunate. According to Zinn, powerful politicians maneuvered and manipulated the supposedly permanent tenets of the republic in their favor. Zinn exposes the ugly side of the American Revolution, the side that our founding fathers would not be pleased to know was revealed.
