Snob Appeal

Ethos

This example of snob appeal shows ethos or ethical appeal through the model in the picture. This is shown through the "credibility" of the girl being beautiful and persuading the buyer by making them want to be as beautiful as the advertisement shows, through the use of the product. It demonstrates snob appeal in the sense that using this product will make one so beautiful that they will stand out from the rest with their good looks. The extravagant picture also makes the product seem expensive and less available to the lower and middle classes.

The target audience of this product is focusing towards older woman due to the image of the model. Many women strive to look similar to her.
