Effects of the Atlantic Slave Trade

-During the period of slavery, the populations of Europe and the Americas grew exponentially, while the population of Africa decreased by an estimated 50 million people.

-Tribal Wars were frequent amongst the African Americans

-Little modernization went on during the Atlantic Slave Trade

-Trade decreased

-Africa was seen as cheap labor and African Americans were thought of as less intelligent

-Overall, slavery destroyed Africa's civilizations and is a major factor to Africa's underdevelopment.
