The Structure
The play of Romeo and Juliet is divided into five acts.
The opens in the streets of Verona; there are some dialogues about love and desire. It ends with the meeting of Romeo and Juliet.
The is concentrated on the development of the relationship between the protagonists. There are dialogues between the two lovers about their feelings. It ends with the decision of the secret wedding.
The is divided in two parts: one is full of action and movement, and the other one is dedicated in private events. The act ends with Romeo and Juliet’s wedding.
The is the beginning of the final tragedy. In this act Juliet takes the potion, Romeo thinks that Juliet is really dead, so he decided to come back to Verona.
The represent the moving from Verona to Mantua, where Romeo sees Juliet apparently dead, and he kills himself with his dagger.Romeo and Juliet will never know the truth about their death.
