William Shakespeare was born at Stratford on Avon in 1564, and he died in 1616. He was an english poet, and now widely regarded as the greatest writer for the English language.

He wrote lots of plays such as:

- The Tempest

- Hamlet

- A Midsummer Night’s Dream

- Much Ado About Nothing

- Romeo and Juliet
