Jesus can overcome the power of man

Another message in the gospel of Luke is that people can resist but not over come the will of God

we see this displayed in Luke 5:21 where Jesus forgives the sins of the paralytic and heals him and

the Pharisees ask Jesus who does he thinks he is because they feel like the things he says are

blasphemous. They tell him that only God can forgive sins and he then replies " "Which is easier, to

say, 'Your sins are forgiven you,' or to say, 'Rise up and walk'? "But that you may know that the Son

of Man has power on earth to forgive sins". This shows that the will of God overcome man because

it has the power to heal with words alone.

Paraphrase: God overcomes all adversity and can not be challenged
