Madrid's Provinces

Comunidad de Madrid is just one of seventeen regions of Spain. Madrid is located on the centre of the country, theIberian Peninsula, and the Castilian Central Plateau. This is conterminous with the province of Madrid which makes it "uniprovincial". Uniprovincial is a community with only one province. The regions capital is the city of Madrid, also the national capital of Spain. It is brought together to the south and east by Castile–La Mancha and to the north and west by Castile and León. Madrid has a population of 6,369,167 mostly concentrated near the city of Madrid.
