What is Heart Disease? How many people have it?
Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is another word for heart disease. Cardiovascular disease is a term of disease's of the heart and blood vessels. The term commonly includes a heart failure or a stroke. CVD kills Australians every 12 minutes and also, killed the lives of 43,603 Australians in 2013. CVD was the struggle of 518,563 Hospitals in 2012 and 2013 and played another role of 680,000 hospitals. CVD was a leading cause of death in Australia and affected around 1.4 million Australians.
