Slave Treatment

Southern Treatment of slaves

The south was pro slavery so you can just imagine what it really would have been like for the slave in this region. Treatment of slaves really depended on the the place and location. In the south slave were big. Since they rely didn't depend on industrial profit, southerners had to rely on slaves picking cotton and tobacco in large amounts in short periods of time.

,Slaves treatment was topically brutal and degrading. Whipping and sexual abuse, including rape, were common. Teaching slaves to read was discouraged or prohibited in this region.
