The Great Sooty Owl has different sizes and looks. The female has a lighter shade of brown than the male. They have brown spots and brown feathers on wings. The female has greater amount of weight and than the male owl. The male and female's length is 37-42 cm. The female weight is 750-1000 gm., while the male is 500-750. The wingspan is 30-40 cm.
