After Charles De Gaulle went to military school, that is when his actual career as a politician and military leader began. In 1911, he was commissioned in the French army at 21 years old. He was a officer cadet and was known as a resistance fighter because of his resistance to fatigue. He participated in WWI. He participated in many wars, wrote several books, and became President of France for two terms (10 years) and the Leader for Free French.
