The Free French was led by Charles De Gaulle and it was a movement to defeat Germany for the what they did to France. On June 28th, the British recognized him as the leader and they became intimidated. He began to build up French troops and called them Free French Forces and later changed the name of the movement to obtain the support of the anti-Nazi Résistance to fighting French Forces.

De Gaulle was able to accomplish a lot because of his patriotism. One successful invasion on several African countries. At first, the movement was small but it began to get bigger thus, needing two other generals named Jean de lattre de tassigny and Jacques Phillipe leclerc. Jacques made an amazing finish and consummated the liberation. In 1944, Charles was honored in triumph in Paris.
