From the beginning of the 1920s till the end of the decade many changes were made to food. Probably the most prominent was the start of the Great Depression. People went from eating wonderful foods in restaurants to standing in bread lines on the street. During the depression of the late 1920's and 1930's a cheap source of meat was rabbits. Like potatoes in Ireland, rabbits were cooked in numerous different ways to provide variety.

Because of the Government's intervention during the start of the Great Depression, many people didn't starve and some even we're provided with jobs to try and support their families.
