Origins of religion

The religious beliefs of this time impacted the economy. Hinduism affected the government because it had a caste system. The caste system justified why people where poor or wealthy. Hindu people knew they could not change their caste until their next life. It strengthens the caste system because of karma and reincarnation since it was believed that you would move up or down based on how you lived your life. This religion allowed the government to work effectively with any revolts by the lower class.
