Carrying capacity is how much an area can support with the amount of people, organisms, and resources it contains. In an ecosystem, limited resources affects the carrying capacity because if you don't have a lot of resources you can't support a lot of organisms. Waste can also make its way into rivers and other water sources because it washes away when it rains. Disease also affects the population size.
