Where and When
The Battle of Gettysburg was a major battle during the America Civil War. The date of the battle was July 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the year 1863. The CSA acculy surendered on July 4th hopping for more mercy from the union on their day of celebration. The location of the battle was south of the town of Gettysburg. The town of Gettysburg is position on the 39.8283° N, 77.2322° W. More commenly know as the southern part of Pennsylvania. It is very close to border of Maryland and is also close to the CSA state of Virginia. The CSA believed that a victory in a Union state would end the war or at least prevent Lincoln from being relected.
