Salzburg is a very well preserved city. This makes it easy to see its beautiful history while remaining in the present. The city is very clean and well-kept, as you can see to the right. Though it has been 50 years since The Sound of Music's release, the filming locations remain immaculate. Looking at the scenery, it seems as if nothing has changed at all. Even the garden, which is only seen briefly in the film, remains the same.
