How Peers affect Gender Division at young ages
Parents might gender gender specific clothing like this shirts for their babies.

When I was a baby my family bought me clothes and toys that were considered to be for girls. My mom and dad just wanted me to get along with my brothers so they didn't mind that I played with toys that were for boys.
When I would go to school, I would hide the fact that I played withhold that were for boys because all the girls acted more girly then I was, and I wanted to fit in. Being around my peers I learned to act more like a girl and learned the differences between men and women.
Traditional models of gender:
Males: having large muscles, being competitive, a leader, and brave.
Females: allowed to be emotional, show fear and weakness, and kind.
