The popular crops that were traded were rice, wheat, barley, and millet.

The main body of water used was the Indian Ocean. At first, trades would stick to the shoreline, but as more efficient boats were invented, merchants would leave the shores travel to other locations.

C. What special commodities were produced for the commercial market? (Indian Artisans)

The main special commodities were fine cotton textiles.
