In 1883 Angelina wrote a letter to William Lloyd Garrison .She told him how

important it was for him to stand his ground,no matter what.This letter was written so well that he published it in his

anti-slavery newspaper The Liberator.

This was a REALLY big deal and it made her

very well known.

The sisters made an appearance at the

Anti-slavery Convention in New York.

She published letters on

"The Equality of the sexes".

During the Civil War

they supported the

Union Cause.
