Although Mark has been the one member of our family that has lived out of town since he turned 18, he's been great about keeping up with the family news. He's also a great prayer warrior and I know that he and his family have prayed for my divorce and all the ugliness that went along with it.
I know that In 2014, Mark anonymously gave money to Carol to give to me since I was not working and had just left Illinois with very little money. It was such a generous thing to do on his part( I'm sure Teri was also in on it), especially doing it anonymously. It was a huge relief too that I didn't have to pay it back as I was already wracking up debt with my divorce lawyer. I never thanked him or Teri for that money and I'm not sure why. ( maybe that's why I never received anymore money from them -lol)!
So, I know lots of his siblings have " crazy Mark" stories of how he swore up and down that he knew the way or it was a pretty easy hike, sure you can take babies, etc., but my story involves Mark following thru with what he felt God calling him to do- to help his little sister out in her time of need, of which she was and is very grateful.
So Mark, may your 60th birthday be a huge celebration of just knowing that you have and will continue to be an inspiration to so many, including your little sister! Love you, Nancy
