Indus River Valley
I learned that the Indus River Valley had possible twin capitals, Harrappa and Mohenjo-Daro. They had many accomplishments the valley declined for unknown reasons.
Vedic Age and the Vedas
I learned that we know the Vedic Age from the Vedas. The Vedas is a book full of chants, hymns, and praises.
The Aryan Civilization
I learned that Aryans drank, danced, and raced chariots. These people fought with chariots and bow and arrow. Aryans cherished cattle. Cattle was the people's food and clothing. Soon Aryans would become settled farmers and later they would make tools. Caste system was also a big part of Aryan civilization.
I learned that Hinduism was founded in India. Hinduism has no single founder. Hindu people were polytheistic. The caste system was very big for the Hindus. Being good would bring you higher in the caste system and being bad would bring you lower in the system.
Buddhism
I learned that Buddhism was founded in India and spread to Asia into China. Buddhism was founded by Siddhartha Gautama after he learned his people were in proverty. Buddhism is an outgrowth religion of Hinduism. Also the symbol of Buddhism is the wheel with eight spokes.
