A lot of India's economy comes from farming, and they use the monsoons to their advantage and plan their growing season, but if the monsoon is to big, it flood to much of their farmland, and they can't grow as much, and if it's to weak or comes at a different time, they can have droughts and destruction of crops.

They used irrigation a lot. They had to use it because the land was arid and the river basins would dry out.


C) Why was India’s population able to grow throughout the postclassical era?

They produced more agricultural productivity. The irrigation system helped a lot, and they used a lot of human labor.
