St. Francis dam flood

From the day the damn opened it leaked. It was two years old on the morning of March 12, 1928 the dam leaked mud and water. That night the dam collapsed releasing a 10 story high avalanche that swept 54 miles west of the ocean. Water took over many towns and farms.
