Modern clothing can and might be seen in the Himalayas, but not as much as tradition wear. Men often wear long tunics and shirts. Woman usually wear cotton dresses and scarves. Wool coats and coverings are often seen due to weather and climate conditions.

The main religions for these people are Buddhism, Hinduism, and Islam.
