Steve Jobs was highly influential in our time period. He single-handedly (with his company) created new industries and changed the way of life for many people. If he lived in a different time period, specifically the American Industrial Revolution, he would have shined. He would definitely have aided in or even solely worked on developing new technologies that would change the way we live. His ideology of creating the best things he could because life was short means that he would have done great work no matter his surroundings and available technologies. His work has affected us since the very beginning and continues to do so today. Without inventions like the Macintosh, the entire concept of using a family computer at home might not have existed. The entire personal computer market was revolutionized by the work of Steve Jobs and his team. Even 9 years ago, everything you do today would have been different. There were no smartphones, much less simple touch screens. If you needed information, you had to go home or a library. There was no concept of a computer in your pocket.
