Event 14

While traveling with the caravan Santiago asks the Englishman about a alchemy, a subject that the Englishman talks about often. The Englishman does not know much and he seeks the guidance of a man named The Alchemist.

Event 17

While the Englishman is seeking the Alchemist Santiago goes to ask around about the Alchemist. Santiago finds a young woman named Fatima, and he instantly falls in love with her. Santiago goes to see her the day after and sees the Englishman there as well. The Englishman tells Santiago of his griefs with the Alchemist.

Event 15

While traveling in the Sahara desert Santiago begins to observe and contemplate on omens he sees around him. The Englishman claims that nothing is there and all the knowledge that he needs are in books.

Event 16

After weeks of traveling the caravan arrives at an oasis. This oasis is neutral territory in a land ravaged by war, so all members of the caravan must surrender their weapons to enter. The supposed master alchemist lives at this oasis and the Englishman goes to see him. The Englishman waits for hours and is curtly rebuked by the Alchemist himself.
