The Turks overtook Persia, Anatolia and India at various times for various reasons. The Turks entered Persia through migration, slowly establishing themselves until they overtook the leaders. After overtaking Persia, the Turks extended their reach to surrounding Middle Eastern states. A huge defeat of the Byzantines was a morale boost for the Turks, helping propel them forward in Anatolia, where the peasants welcomed a new leader. The Turks started out just wanting to destroy current rule in India, but their quickly turned to permanent rule.

Genghis Khan attained so much power by conquering smaller clans and treating them as equals so they would stay loyal to him. Overtime, as he conquered more and more small clans, Genghis Khan was able to build a size able army and defeat bigger clans. Soon he was defeating the most powerful forces in the world using the superior equestrian skills of his army.genghis khan was also extremely loyal to allies, yet not afraid to break these loyalties if it assured him an ascent in power.
