Nomads helped foster cross cultural communication and exchange. Nomads often lived off of sub par land and therefore could not meet all their needs on their own. They traded avidly with settled villages as they moved and kept reading things around, eventually foods from east Asia ended up in the west. Some nomads began to make their living leading caravans across the Central Asia.
