Charles was telling Meg about how he talked to his friend Mrs. Whatsit about Meg's problems. Next the dog barks and Mrs. Whatsit walks in. After getting comfortable, taking off her boots, and having a sandwich, Mrs. Whatsit tells Mrs. Murry that there is such thing as a tesseract and hurries out the door and leaves Mrs. Murry to wonder in shock about what she had just said.
