-Roads

     -Connections in Western Europe would not be as developed

     -Rome's roads contributed to today's roads

     -The tools used for building roads would not be as sophisticated

     -The Roman Empire would not have as much of a military advantage

-Concrete

     -Although it is not used, the Roman's concrete paved the way for our    concrete today

     -Rome's buildings, such as the Colosseum, would be far more deteriorated

     -Concrete would not be used as much in modern times
